Ajmal Foundation is an ISO certified Public Charitable Trust, registered under Indian Trust Act. 1882, was established in the year 2005 with its head office located in the district of Hojai, Assam in India. With the spirit of ‘Serving Humanity in Need’ Ajmal Foundation has been working in the field of Education, Skill Development and Livelihood Promotion, Women Empowerment, Poverty Alleviation, Relief & Rehabilitation, Water Management and Sanitation, Cancer Care, Support to Disabled and Widows, Legal & Digital Literacy, Women and Child Development, Healthcare and Family Welfare etc.
The Foundation responds to socioeconomic development in India through implementation of various community based integrated projects targeting Child, youth, women, aged and differently abled. In doing so, time bound implementation, efficient delivery of the assigned projects and full transparency has always remained a top priority of the organization. Ajmal Foundation is a Pan India organization primarily focusing North Eastern States to contribute to nation building process to make India a strong, resilient and leading Country in the world.
With the motto “Ajmal for Education and Education for All” the Foundation has been promoting modern and quality education in the remote and backward areas to support poor and economically weak students in the form of providing scholarships for higher education, medical, engineering, management, civil services and other professional courses.
Moreover, the Foundation has been running 36+ Educational Institutions all across Assam including Lower Primary Schools, Primary Schools, Middle Schools, High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools, Degree Colleges, Teachers Training Colleges and Law College etc.
Amar Singh Thapa, was the 1st Rank holder in the Plus-II Science Examination in Assam in 2018. In 2019, Manik Roy secured 9th Rank in Higher Secondary (Arts). In 2020, Saima became 2nd in Higher Secondary (Arts) and Asifa Naznin Laskar secured 9th position in Higher Secondary (Science), in 2020 and 2021, 6 students cracked IIT-JAM and GATE from Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science and Technology, Hojai. Md. Shohid Ahmed Khandakar secured 6th Rank in HS (Arts) Final Examination – 2022 from Ajmal College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Hojai.
This apart, Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education, Hojai has secured 1st class 1st Position in the B. Ed Final examination under Gauhati University continuously in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2021, the College’s extraordinary performance helped it to secure 11 positions. This year 4 students bagged to keep their position among top ten Rank under Gauhati University in B.ED Final Examination.
Other notable mentions include Ajmal College of Arts and Science, Dhubri, which ranked 48th was featured in the prestigious Nature Index Ranking for the year 2019-2020.
The Foundation established AJMAL SUPER-40 in 2016 to guide and care students for Medical and Engineering entrance examinations. So far, 423 students got Medical seats, and 52 students secured – Engineering seats, including 5 seats in IITs. On the other side, Nikhil Kumar Mundra secured 1st, Debjani Das 5th and Afsana Begum secured 4th position from Ajmal Law College, Hojai in LLB Final Examination 2021 under Gauhati University. This year 4 students secured Rank in top Ten from Ajmal Law College under Gauhati University.
In a bid to acquire excellence as a teacher and to nurture students to excel in life, every year AJMAL Foundation Conducts Teacher’s Training in collaboration with reputed institution like Institute of Excellence Forum (IEF), Delhi and All India Confederation of Women’s Empowerment through Education (AICWETE), Delhi and Indian Association of Life Skill Education etc. The Trust also conducts various National and International level workshops, Seminar and conferences to keep the teachers updated and to improve the level of their teaching standard. The Trust also runs Distance Education center under KKHSOU, Assam Xahitya Xhaba and NIOS etc. and nearly 4139 students passed out from the center after successful completion of various courses. The Foundation also established Computer Education Centers in collaboration with Ministry of Education and NIELIT to promote digital literacy and so far, 3679 students have pass out from our center.
One of the important programs of the Foundation is Skill Development and Livelihood initiative. The Trust successfully executed various Skill Development and Livelihood projects and schemes in collaboration with various Ministries like Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, National Children’s Fund. New Delhi, Ministry of Food processing Industries, Directorate of Employment and Craftsmanship, Government of Meghalaya, Guwahati Municipal Corporation, etc., so far we have trained and placed 29,591 unemployed youths all across the country. The beneficiaries have found suitable placement in different agencies of National and International repute.
Doing its bit by providing Relief for the marginalized section of the society. Ajmal Foundation has till date provided Low-Cost Houses or House Construction materials to 7617 families, constructed 13546 Tube wells, Ring Wells and Wells in different arid regions of the many states of the country. Distributed Livelihood-Supports to around 7049 families, provided one time livelihood support to widows, offered Marriage Aid and Medical Aid etc.
Aimal Foundation made a benchmark among all the communities irrespective of caste colour creed and religion its services during Emergency Relief. The Trust also Installed 397 Solar panel and пеагlу 2948 Toilet block to various Educational Institutions. A total of around 60 lacs people have benefited so far with the Trust. Moreover Ajmal Foundation have tie-up with TATA Medical Center, Kolkata for the cancer patients and so far had sent more than 431 patients for treatment and most them were cured baring a few who could not recover.
