AJMAL Foundation has instituted a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of request for refund of donations. Ajmal Foundation takes utmost care to process donations as per the instructions given by our benevolent donors, online and offline. Ajmal Foundation expects that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making donations. However, in case of an unlikely event of an erroneous donation or if the donor would like to cancel his donation, Ajmal Foundation will examine the request for refund of donation and endeavour to make the refund. It may also require further verification/documents and donor is expected to bear the related costs and to co-operate in this regard. In case of a valid refund request due to any error on Ajmal Foundation’s part, AF will refund the donation and bear the costs of the same.
However, Ajmal Foundation is not obliged to make refunds and may, in its discretion, decline any request for refund, particularly if a tax exemption certificate has been issued. A written request will have to be sent by the donor stating the reason of seeking the donation refund, within 15 days of making the donation, to the official address or email of Ajmal Foundation along with the following information:
Proof of donation (viz. if the donation is made online, please provide donation ID),
Amount and date of donation made,
Mode of donation,
In cases where the donation receipt has already been issued to the donor, the donor will have to return the original receipt at the official address of Ajmal Foundation.
The refund process may take time 7 to 30 days depending upon the availability of the information from third parties such as Payment Gateway, Banks etc. through which transaction is done.
