Ajmal Foundation expressed gratitude to e-rickshaw drivers

In a unique gesture of appreciation toward e-rickshaw drivers under the Hojai Municipal Board, Ajmal Foundation, one of Northeast India’s leading voluntary organizations, conveyed a positive message to society through a special felicitation program.

At a solemn event organized by the foundation at its Hojai premises, nearly 300 e-rickshaw drivers of the town were honored with the traditional Assamese symbol of pride, the gamocha.

It is noteworthy that various educational institutions in Hojai run by Ajmal Foundation have students coming from different parts of the state. These e-rickshaw drivers have been playing a vital role in safely transporting the students and their guardians to and from their destinations with great dedication, day and night. Not only that, the drivers have always treated the students like members of their own families and have never misbehaved with them. They have consistently ensured safe transportation without creating any unpleasant situations.

Recognizing their continuous service and commitment to safety, Ajmal Foundation felicitated each driver and also provided a one-time cash incentive of ₹500 as a token of encouragement.

Present at the event were Ajmal Foundation Director Dr. Khasrul Islam, General Manager M.R.H. Azad, Ajmal Super 40 Project Head Abdul Kadir, along with other officials.
