Scope & Objective of the National Science Day

National Science Day is celebrated annually on February 28th in India to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Nobel Laureate Sir C.V. Raman. The day highlights the importance of science in daily life and encourages innovation, curiosity, and scientific temper among students and citizens. This year the theme of National Science Day is “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat.”

Objectives and Scope:

• To honor the contributions of scientists, especially Sir C.V. Raman.
• To promote scientific thinking and innovation among students.
• To bridge the gap between the scientific community and the public through outreach.
• To showcase creative projects and experiments.
• To encourage collaboration between teachers, students, and the community in advancing scientific knowledge.
• To inspire young minds to pursue careers in science and technology.

Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science & Technology, Hojai

Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science & Technology, Hojai, established by Ajmal Foundation in 2006, to provide access to quality higher education for women, particularly socially and educationally backward sections of the society.

The College is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and is recognized under section 2(f) of the UGC Act and also recognized as a minority institution under Section 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institution (NCME).
