With a view to spreading education beyond barrier particularly for the deprived section like school drop outs, working people, house wives etc. who could not pursue higher studies for various reasons, AJMAL FOUNDATION has taken the initiative to give them an opportunity to pursue higher education in different courses, viz., BA, BBA, BCA, BMC, MA (English, Assamese, Political Science), DJMC & DCWE etc. through its study centres of KKHSOU, NIOS, Assam State Open School (ASOS) under Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and One year Diploma in Assamese Language under Axom Sahitya Sabha. A total of 2050 students are enrolled now and some hundreds already been benefited from these centres. AJMAL Foundation has set up Free Coaching Centers in a good number of unaided schools across Assam to increase the pass percentage in H.S.L.C Examination and also to reduce drop out rate. Every year 25 schools are supported and 5500 students are benefited so far. The Foundation also undertakes programmes on a routine basis to train School teachers and impart new and effective methods of teaching by experienced faculty of the reputed Colleges and Training Institutes of the state. As of now, around 3000 teachers were provided special short term training.
