Ajmal Educational Projects and Schemes

With a view to spread education beyond barrier particularly for the deprived section like school drop outs, working people, house wives etc. who could not pursue higher studies for various reasons, AJMAL FOUNDATION has taken the initiative to give them an opportunity to pursue higher education in different courses, viz., BPP, CCA, BA, BBA, BMC, MA (English, Assamese, Political Science, Education), MSW, DJMC, DJA & DCWE etc. through its study centres of KKHSOU, NIOS, Assam State Open School and Axom Sahitya Sabha. A total of 2050 students are enrolled now and some hundreds already been benefitted from these centres. AJMAL Foundation has set up Free Coaching Centers in a good number of unaided schools across Assam to increase the pass percentage in H.S.L.C Examination and also to reduce drop out rate. Every year 25 schools are supported where 5500 students are benefitted so far. The Foundation also undertakes programmes on a routine basis to train School teachers and impart new and effective methods of teaching by experienced faculty of the reputed Colleges and Training Institutes of the state. As of now, around 3000 teachers were provided special short term training.


Heavy, incessant rainfall in Assam has once again hit the state by the destructive floods and the condition is worsening with each passing day. The floods have claimed many lives so far and many have been displaced from their homes, losing their land, belongings and sources of livelihoods. More than 1 lakh families have been affected due to flood in different districts of Assam.

Ajmal Foundation has begun its flood relief work on an emergency basis with our teams working in the field in order to rehabilitate the affected masses to the best of our abilities. Our Relief team has already analyzed the immediate requirements of the flood victims are food and shelter. As the victims have been badly affected, we sincerely appeal for an urgent assistance for atleast 15000 families and request you to kindly extend a helping hand towards the poor flood affected victims of Assam.
