Celebrating National Education Day at Hojai: Felicitation of three retired teachers along with financial donations given by Ajmal Foundation.
In connection with the birthday of India’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, 11th November is celebrated as ‘National Education’ Day all over the country. On the day, that is, on 11th November 1888, the first education minister of independent India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was born.
In connection with his birthday, National Education Day was celebrated with various programs at Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education, Hojai. Note that, National Education Day is celebrated across the country on the occasion of 139th birthday of India’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
In connection with this educational day, three retired assistant teacher at Nazir Ajmal Memorial College organized by Ajmal Foundation and venture schools without any reward – Rajni Saikia, retired assistant teacher of Laskar Pathar Panchali High School, Hojai gave education for 21 years without any salary, Zuber Ahmed, retired assistant teacher of Formerfer High School, 20 years. Did teaching and Pratima Devi, headmistress of Madhavpur M.E. School, Nagaon gave 30 years of education.
Ajmal Foundation felicitated these three teachers with Phulam Gamosa, Japi, Sarai, Saleng Chadar etc and also provided one time financial support of 25 thousand rupees.
Professor Kamleswar Kalita of Lanka College, Dr. Khasrul Islam, the conductor of Ajmal Foundation, Dr. M.R.H Azad, the president of Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education along with many officers including Abdur Noor, Rafiq Uddin, Shamim Shafika Begum.
