Ajmal Foundation proudly celebrated its 22nd Foundation Day on 18 July 2026 with great enthusiasm, reflecting on its remarkable journey of service, growth, and commitment to social development. The occasion was made especially memorable by the presence of all the founding members who laid the foundation of this noble institution more than two decades ago. The programme brought together trustees, senior officials, employees, faculty members, students, and well-wishers from various institutions and projects run under the banner of Ajmal Foundation. The event served as an opportunity to honour the vision, dedication, and hard work of those who transformed a small initiative into one of the leading educational and social welfare organizations in the North-East.
During the programme, the founding members shared their experiences and reflected on the early days of the Foundation. They recalled how the journey began with only five dedicated members, driven by a common vision to promote education, social welfare, and community development. What started as a humble initiative has today grown into a vast organization serving thousands of beneficiaries across the region.
Over the past 21 years, Ajmal Foundation has expanded its activities across various sectors, including education, healthcare, skill development, women empowerment, livelihood generation, disaster relief, and community welfare. Through its network of educational institutions, training centres, and social development programmes, the Foundation has positively impacted countless lives and contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of Assam and the North-East. One of the most remarkable achievements highlighted during the celebration was the Foundation’s growth in human resources. From a team of just five members at its inception, Ajmal Foundation has now become a family of more than 2,000 employees, all working collectively towards the mission of empowering communities through education and social development. The speakers acknowledged the contributions of employees, educators, volunteers, students, donors, and stakeholders who have supported the Foundation throughout its journey. They emphasized that the success of Ajmal Foundation is a result of collective effort, unwavering commitment, and the trust reposed by the communities it serves.
The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to the Foundation’s motto and vision. The management expressed confidence that Ajmal Foundation will continue to scale new heights in the years ahead, expanding its reach and strengthening its impact on society while remaining dedicated to the principles upon which it was founded.
